Q: What is the current development of Liberland?
A: We are building diplomatic ties with various different countries from all over the world. And I am glad to say that it looks very positive as there is a lot of interest.
Q: What tempted you to claim Liberland?
A”: I always believed in freedom for general public, and wanted a place where people can live freely with least interference of the government. And, my belief and ideology were the key factors behind this step.
Q: How are neighboring countries Croatia and Serbia reacting?
A: Serbia from day one has not objected to the existence of Liberland. We had some issues with Croatia but slowly and gradually we are resolving them. We have Mr Ivan Parmar who is a member of parliament in Croatia working with us as a close associate.
Q: How many persons have been registered as citizens of Liberland?
A: We have more than half a million applications for citizenship with one hundred thousand potential citizens. At present we have given out about one thousand citizenship to people from various parts of the world.
Q: What are the benefits for citizens of Liberland?
A: They can live and work in Liberland without any taxation and with least interference of the government in their day to day life.
What is the motto?
A: Our motto is to live and let live.
Q: How many countries officially recognized Liberland? If no one till now, why? Can it develop without international recognition?
A: We have quite a number of countries willing to recognize us, which we will declare at the right time.
Q: What problems you are facing for international recognition?
A: We are developing strong ties in different parts of the world, we have our consulates and representative offices in over 90 countries working towards building diplomatic ties with their state. At the moment, we are easy.
Q: What are the objectives of Liberland?
A: The objective is to build a country where honest people can prosper without being oppressed by governments making their lives unpleasant through the burden of unnecessary restrictions and taxes. But now it’s really turning out to be a real project with real support.
Q: Who is financially supporting you for development?
A: We have high profile investors from the US & EU who have pledged to invest over one billion US dollars.
Q: “Tax free Investment” is your offer to the foreign investors, how Liberland will afford it?
A: We will have a unique tax system where people will donate a portion out of their income on their free will.
Q: Have you submitted the application to Pakistan for recognition? What is the current status of it?
A: Yes, we had submitted the application back in 2015, but it’s was pending as the previous government did not have a foreign minister. So we hope to work closely with the current foreign minister, Shah Mahmood Qureshi to develop strong ties.
Q: How Liberland will facilitate Pakistani Investors?
A: We welcome Pakistani investors in Liberland, we will provide them with all sorts of assistance needed in order to run their business in Liberland along with security of their investment.
Q: Can Pakistani people get citizenship without investing anything?
A: Yes, they can if they work for Liberland in Pakistan, and facilitate the smooth running of our consulate which is headed by our Consul General Mr Faisal Butt.
Q: How many people from Pakistan have applied for citizenship?
A: We have over hundred thousand applications from Pakistan, and the number keeps increasing on daily basis.

Q: What is your Immigration Policy?
A: We want selected number of people on board which will be an asset to Liberland in various sectors.
Q: What is the current development of diplomatic relations with UK, Europe and USA?
A: We have strong ties in US & UK and I visit them every month on different platforms. And hopefully soon we shall have official engagements also.
Q: Have you applied for membership in UN & EU? What is the status of Liberland membership in UN & EU?
A: No, Liberland does not seek accession to the EU. We do aspire to join organizations such as EFTA (European Free Trade Association) and possibly the CEI (Central European Initiative). We have attained observer status with the Unrecognized Nations and Peoples Organization (UNPO) and are considering applying for comparable roles in several other international organizations.
Q: History tells that such small and naive states needs security Umbrella from super powers for their survivals. Will Liberland get any security Umbrella? If yes. Which country will be your preference?
A: We have got America’s support economically and an American defence Agency is looking after Liberland’s security. In future if we need any extraordinary security umbrella we shall prefer America as well. But I believe that when people get justice in the country, there will be no need for security.
Q: Such states might be an ideal hide out or a safe haven for mafias and criminals. Do you intend to have army and other law enforcement forces to control law and order? What are your plans?
A: No! The free Republic of Liberland is not an ideal hide out or safe haven for Mafias and Criminals, This state will be the perfect peaceful state, we believe on peace and also want to spread peace among the public. Our motto “Live & Let Live” shows that we are peaceful. Tax free investment doesn’t mean that we are creating the state where criminals can live & invest, No, never, there is no space for criminals and mafias in Liberland. We shall form our Army and law and order forces too. Peace is our priority.
Q: What will be the form of government? There is no population to elect parliament. When Liberland will be able to hold the first election?
A: There will be “Constitutional republic with elements of Direct Democracy” form of Government. Currently there is a Provisional Government of Free Republic of Liberland. Provisional Government shall be chaired by the President of the Free Republic of Liberland who shall be responsible for the work of the Provisional Government and shall represent the Free Republic of Liberland in its relations with other entities. The President shall be elected by the Preparatory Committee of the Free Republic of Liberland with a simple majority vote. The President may appoint and dismiss the Vice-Presidents of the Free Republic of Liberland and Ministers of the Provisional Government. The Provisional Government shall have all the powers it deems appropriate for the promotion and protection of the state of Free Republic of Liberland until the Assembly is sworn in following the first General Election. The President, Vice-President and the appointed Ministers may issue Orders which shall legally bind the Provisional Government and any Person finding him or herself within jurisdiction of the Free Republic of Liberland. All Orders and decisions of the President, Vice-President and the appointed Ministers which have been completed or otherwise fulfilled shall remain valid after the General Election and the Provisional Government shall call the first General Election whenever it deems appropriate as long as it is on equitable terms.
Q: Tell us more about productions and development of Liberland?
A: Liberland Beer – Award-winning brands now available in several countries. In the past Liberland wine has also been bottled by a local vineyard in Serbia.
